This award goes to the venue – opened in the year leading to the our annual judging – that receives the most votes from our panel of over 100 of the country’s leading sommeliers, winemakers, hospitality tastemakers and journalists.

Maverick

This award is for the venue that is pushing the boundaries the most, challenging the status quo of industry practice. And that could be front and centre, or buried in the DNA of a venue. The Maverick award is for the Wineslinger that has their own unique swagger, is breaking new ground, rattling the cage, and making a difference.

People’s Choice

The People’s Choice is decided by the public, choosing from our annual shortlist of the top wine venues in Australia.
