Cumulus Up are taking their City Cellar Door series on the road, and taking you directly to the source.
Hosted by their Head Sommelier, Chris Ryan, guests will get a behind the scenes look into the vineyards and wineries with some of the series’ favourite winemakers.
Some of the wine highlights of the upcoming Yarra Valley tour include Rob Hall’s Yarra Valley winery and get an introduction to the art of winemaking with the man himself; tasting Onannons’ 2019 vintage direct from barrel under the guidance of Kaspar Hermann, one third of the brilliant team behind this highly regarded label; and a tutorial on the Gippsland region with Justin Jenkins of Fleet Wines.
Lunch is provided at Jayden Ong’s vineyard by the team at Cumulus Inc. You’ll enjoy a generous and plentiful, rustic spread of Cumulus Inc. signature dishes, charcuterie, seasonal vegetables and grains, artisan cheeses, and Meatsmith delicacies.
All guests will receive the ultimate “wine nerd” literature pack on the day with detailed information on the producers visited, tasting notes, maps of the region along with order forms for your purchasing pleasure.
This is not the kind of cellar door experience you’ve done before. In fact, nary a cellar door or tasting room will be seen at all.
