Jam Factory at Seppeltsfield

The historic Seppeltsfield winery is worth a visit for the architecture and grounds alone, not to mention the cellar door and vineyard/cellar tours, but it is also a design and crafts hub. In 2013, the Adelaide-based Jam Factory established an offshoot in an 1850s stable building at Seppeltsfield. The facility provides studio space for a broad range of artisans, from knife makers to milliners. There is a public walkway allowing visitors to interact with the artisans, as well as workshops and demonstrations. A gallery space, featuring local and international artists, and shop complete the picture. Open 7 days.

There are cooking classes, a café, walking tours and the Farm Shop, which sells everything Maggie, from signed books to kitchen wares, Pheasant Farm wine, bespoke spirits and liqueurs and house-made food products – these are only available onsite, so don’t expect Maggie’s familiar branded range! You can even stay there, at the sumptuous Orchard House.
