ROUNDWOOD Solutions, using commercially grown radiata pine are now bringing a world first release of Tanapost to the market. Using a proven carbon based creosote as the wood preservative our new technology allows full cell treatment of the whole post, something the end user has been seeking for a long time. The appearance is a brown colour without the high odour and isn’t greasy to touch which in turn gives it a far better handling perspective which is inherently fire retardant.
Tanapost has an end-of-life use whereby Roundwood Solutions can take the post back and burn it in our bio mass boiler to produce heat for use in the treatment process. the by-product is bio-char which can be used by the agriculture sector as a carbon soak for the new thousand years.
