Wine scribe Mike Bennie, says, “The UNCUT event series is fun, dynamic and interesting. That’s the take away message. UNCUT delivers to a community a connection to some of Australia’s finest, most interesting, progressive and wonderfully disparate young winemakers. It’s a not to be missed event on the wine calendar. About Harvey Leigh’s
Harvey Leigh’s at Highgate is Perth’s new venture introduced by previous Australian Young Somm of the Year, Dan Wegener.
The two sided venue include a couple of offerings, Harvey Leigh’s Public House, and Wine Rooms by Harvey Leigh’s
Wine Rooms was opened in May and has already taken Perth by storm with its Farmhouse French menu and Francophile wine list. Head curator Matt Bell (ex Print Hall and Rockpool) overlooks the list and leads the discussion at what promises to be Perth’s next embassy for the vinophile.
Public House is the very newly opened, larger tavern next door specialising in fine, hearty fare with a garden bar, wine school and bottle shop.
