Antipodes is one of New Zealand’s purest waters, naturally high in silica content and untouched from its source, 327 metres under the ground. Recognised by the United Nations for its environmental initiatives, Antipodes is the first premium water in the world to be carbon neutral to the dining table, anywhere in the world. Conceived for the restaurant table, Antipodes’ subtle minerality hydrates and refreshes, whilst cleansing the palate. Its sole purpose is to support and complement fine dining. It is presented as still or finely beaded sparkling.
Prince Wine Store
Maybe its easiest to start with who and what we are not! We are not a supermarket, discount chain, lowest-common-denominator liquor outlet. In some ways, we are not even a retailer who could be selling anything; tyres, widgets or beanie boos! We can only sell one thing…WINE!
What we are is an independently owned wine merchant, driven by our collective passion to source and share some of the greatest wines in the world with a similarly passionate group of punters…many of which are now friends and part of the Prince Wine Store family.
With 260 years of experience, the Riedel family revolutionized simple glassware when 9th generation Claus Riedel designed the first collection of varietal-specific stemware in the 1970s. Each Riedel in the family’s history has contributed to the company’s success and made the brand the industry leader it is today.
The De Bortoli family story is one of determination and triumph that is still told, four generations later, across Australia. From humble beginnings in 1928, Vittorio first made wine for family and friends.
De Bortoli is still very much a family business with a strong reputation for premium wine, firstly through their iconic dessert wine Noble One and then via the success of the cool climate wines produced at the family’s Yarra Valley estate.
Based at their ‘Home of the Brave‘ winery in the Barossa, First Drop (aka Matt ‘Gantos’ Gant and John ‘JR’ Retsas) make eclectic styles from unique vineyards in the Barossa, Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale.
Embarking on their vinous journey in 2005, they were an early standard bearer for ‘pushing boundaries’ (a flag they continue to fly), and recognised as inaugural winners of the Young Gun of Wine award.
The Aylward family have been growing high quality Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris on the Mornington Peninsula for the past 18 years. After establishing and then selling the successful Kooyong winery in 2004 the Aylwards purchased another suitable site to produce the fruit for the highly acclaimed Ocean Eight labels. Just the three varieties are grown. Theses are suited to the Penninsula’s soil types and climate. Focus will always be on high quality.
