Young Gun of Wine UNCUT is back, with another new wave of Australian winemakers breaking on the beaches of Bondi.

We’re taking over the North Bondi Surf Club rooftop in collaboration with Chin Chin, who are presenting a pop-up kitchen for guests to purchase eats whilst they taste their way through 60 wines from the 30 winemakers in attendance.

And there’ll be music treats too, as Bondi’s favourite DJ, Richy Penny will be providing the soundscape for the event.

Speaking of the idea to do this pop-up, Chin Chin’s Head Sommelier, Jacqueline Turner, offered: “Chin Chin Sydney has always embraced emerging winemakers. It’s a thrill to take a snapshot of the Chin Chin experience to Bondi for one night with a swathe of hot winemakers.”

“Throwing our first beach party with a sea of wine young guns at Bondi… This might be our best idea to date!”

Wine scribe Mike Bennie, says, “The UNCUT event series is fun, dynamic and interesting. That’s the take away message. UNCUT delivers to a community a connection to some of Australia’s finest, most interesting, progressive and wonderfully disparate young winemakers. It’s a not to be missed event on the wine calendar. Mainline what’s happening in Australian wine”.

Established in 2007, the Young Gun of Wine searches for, showcases and celebrates Australia’s young wine talent. This search starts with UNCUT, an up close and unfiltered look at the freshest wines and winemaking in Australia. UNCUT is the place to spot the best new talent and trends in wine.

Young Gun of Wine is recognised as “an incubator for emerging talent” by industry leaders, with its annual top winemaker lists reading like a “who’s who of the contemporary wine scene.”
